Yes, yes, yes… I hear your cry! Just what we need, another bunch of tree-huggers and duck squeezers extolling their virtues about saving the planet from itself and the rest of us cretins! Sheesh! However, on this the first anniversary of the worst oil spill in the history of offshore drilling which still hasn’t been paid for, yet. A record-breaking earthquake in Japan cripples a nuclear power plant, causing radioactivity to spew into the environment. Meanwhile, our so-called leaders are acting like shills to multi-national corporations and oil companies taking an axe to the EPA and other regulatory agencies…

It’s About Time…

           Welcome to the Eco-Centrix Blog Site! Here is the one place where we will inform our followers of new trends, products and processes dealing with ecology and maybe even make you laugh a little at the same time. There is nothing political about being green so we won’t be espousing one or the other party in this blog. If there is a need to stand up on a soapbox and scream then it is for the planet and not some political party. This isn’t political – it’s personal! One thing is for sure, Kafka couldn’t write it any better! The powers that be need a brown out, or maybe just have the switches turned off for a while!

Here is the place you can go to once a week and get the real deal. Too often we don’t see the whole story and the corporatized news channels are never going to broadcast anything remotely close to the whole story.

We are going to expose and scold, tattletale and truth out, make it clear and clean it up! As I like to say, “After the Brainwashing, but before the Tumble Dry, there’s the Rinse Cycle!” We here at the Eco-Centrix represent the Rinse Cycle for the rest of us!

To paraphrase the Tao the Ching :

“Everything you do affects everything and everyone around you.”

Look at what and how you approach this planet and how what you do and how it affects the rest of us. Carry “inconvenience” bags in you car to avoid using plastic ones. Better yet walk to the store and leave the car at home – you could probably use the exercise! Bike or take a bus to work. It is truly amazing how much money you save when you’re not driving your car out of one garage and into another to just sit there all day! Pay attention to your carbon footprint and shop locally, purchasing organic fruits and vegetables as often as your budget can afford. Stop eating “styro” food and cook your meals at home more often. Recycle, reuse & reclaim. Donate your time and expertise at making this a cooler planet! Pick up some trash on the beach, gussy-up your neighborhood, set-up a recycling program at your job or school… get involved. When one person sees you doing this they might just get involved, as well!
